Breast cancer screening
With a share of 30 percent, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in Austria. On average, 5000 women are newly diagnosed with this disease every year. Breast cancer accounts for 15 percent of all deaths between the ages of 35 and 64. Early detection of breast cancer improves the possibility of treatment and the chance of cure. Breast cancer screening is the only evidence-based screening method that has been shown to contribute to a significant reduction in breast cancer morbidity and mortality.

Our counsellors prepare you for a problem-solving process that is tailored to your needs so that you can cope with a crisis situation on your own.
The aim is to preserve or restore your autonomy in everyday life. In doing so, we draw on your self-help skills, potentials and personal resources.
