[Release] FBI Ticket Installer - A web based eShop ticket QR code generator for FBI (2024)

What does this do?
Since FBI 2.3 was released, there is an option to install eShop tickets using nothing but a QR code.
From here you can install the titles directly from Nintendos CDN.
This website will let you choose a title and generate a QR code for you to scan in FBI.

Why I made this?
@Housey created a program to generate these QR codes, however, this program only works on Windows Vista or higher.
Since I use macOS, this was rather limiting to me as I would have to boot windows just to scan a QR code.

So I made this webpage to do the same job. As a bonus, it is a web page, so it works on anything with a modern web browser.

Features:
* Non diacritic search (doesn't take notice of accents, so "pokemon" will match "Pokémon")
* Partial search (allows you to search for part of a titles name, so "eld" will match all "zelda" titles and everything else with "eld" in the title name)
* Title filtering (allows you to filter between eShop, DLC, Updates, etc.)
* Generating QR code for installation with FBI
* Automatically uses the lastest database (no need to download the database or update it)
* Multiple-select (generate a QR code with multiple tickets so you can batch install)

How to use:
* Search for the title you want at the top, there are various filters including region and type of title.
* Click on the title you want (you can select multiple titles)
* Scan the QR code

You can also use .co.uk, both addresses go to the exact same place, so if one is down, the other will be too. There is just two in case people are used to typing .co.uk instead.

Note that the site is functional, but I am still in the process of adding features and making it look nicer.

It does exactly the same as Shameless, just web based for people such as myself that are not on windows or are not near a computer.

Shameless requires you to give your own ticket database, this one, automatically use it from "That titlekey site", do you want to guess what's nintendo copyrighted from that website? THE TITLEKEYS!

It downloads it for you, you don't have to go download and supply it yourself.

it downloads THE ILLEGAL THING! there is something called "Reason" for wich you need to supply your own titlekeys.

It does exactly the same as shameless and yet nobody seems to have an issue with that. It even produces the exact same QR codes

because shameless don't give you the ILLEGAL THING also called "titlekey", users have to provide ther own titlekeys.

This does exactly the same thing as Shameless with the same features but in a browser environment, so it pretty much works anywhere. Which actually rules imo.

It gets the keys from the same place Shameless does. The only difference is that Shameless asks you if you consent to using an illegal ticket database (which I wouldn't have put in anyway if people on GBATemp weren't so wary of it breaking the rules or something).

I was thinking of how to do this for a while now. I was gonna do a Telegram bot for Shameless but it seems a web solution is much better.

Not copyrighted, being by definition a formula applied to a random number.
At best restricted by the DMCA (and gbatemp's house rules)

They do exactly the same thing.
