I remember when they said a playable version should come out early 2024.
At this rate I wouldn't be surprised if we graze by 2026.

Even if it still makes 2024 it's unlikely to be even midway, likely end of 2024 which is definitely missing their "deadline".
I kinda wish the devs would stop promising things they can't promise because the failure to deliver can build mistrust.

There has been such a hype and legend around this update that even if the update turns out great, people will still complain a lot, we can't avoid it.

There will absolutely be complaints about it. The forums will be on fire for the first two weeks of the update. It is unavoidable that there's gonna be gamebreaking bugs, dupes, other exploits. Because if they're moving to 1.20 - it will NOT be a smooth ride.

They pay me with the heart they put into working on the server, better contact with the community and time well spent.

Don't forget tons of people suddenly realising that you have to switch version to access the foraging island since it will be the only place to be on 1.20+.

I see way too many people saying that the game will be entirely updated for it when it's not (at least not at first, if the game gets updated it will be way later on condition that the foraging update is a success).
