F1 driver Carlos Sainz was first linked to his girlfriend in the summer of 2023
Carlos Sainz is keeping his girlfriend Rebecca Donaldson close by during his Formula 1 races.
The Spanish driver, currently competing in F1 for Ferrari, was first linked to the Scottish model in the summer of 2023 when they were spotted together in Italy.
While they haven’t spoken publicly about their romance, the couple have enjoyed PDA-filled outings, and Donaldson has also supported Sainz at racing events.
The racer previously dated Spanish journalist Isa Hernáez. The pair began dating in 2016, and Hernáez confirmed their split in the early summer of 2023. Soon after, Sainz and Donaldson were seen hanging out.

She’s from Scotland
Donaldson hails from the town of Scone in central Scotland and attended the prestigious Perth Academy.
On their website, the school claims to be “possibly the oldest school in Scotland” and "can trace its origins to the Grammar School established in Perth in the twelfth century by the Benedictine monks of Dunfermline Abbey."
She’s a model
Based in the United Kingdom, Donaldson is a model currently represented by Brand Model Management and has graced the covers of Vogue Ukraine and Marie Claire México. She’s also appeared in other fashion and beauty editorials.
Donaldson has said that her career began thanks to her mother, who signed her up for a beauty pageant when she was 17.
"My mom entered me and I was really surprised when I found out," Donaldson told the Daily Record in 2011. “We had to go to rehearsals to practise catwalk type dances before going in front of four judges."
Donaldson won the competition called Face of 2011 and then competed in the reality series Top Model UK. When she got the news of her win, Donaldson said, “My family were all very pleased for me, they were jumping around and stuff!”
She was first spotted with Sainz in June 2023
Sainz and Donaldson were first seen out together in Milan in June 2023, although they didn't show any PDA, per a post on Matthew J. Thompson's X (formerly Twitter) account.
Two months later, fans seemed to confirm their relationship when the couple were spotted again on a golf course in Amsterdam, per Essentially Sports.
It seems Donaldson has had the chance to meet Sainz's loved ones, too. In February 2024, the model walked a runway during Madrid Fashion Week, and some of the Sainz family, including his sisters Ana and Blanca and his mother Reyes, were in the crowd, according to Essentially Sports.
She founded an activewear company
During a COVID-19-induced lockdown in October 2020, Donaldson launched her clothing company, Muse Activewear.
“I was spending many days and hours during lockdown feeling a little purposeless,” she said in a 2021 interview with Vestd. “So, I decided to pursue my dream of starting a clothing brand.”
Donaldson described the line as “a diverse collection of comfortable, supportive gym wear that can also be transitioned to be worn in everyday life.”
She continued, “The brand is based on the minimalism trend ‘woke luxe’ including restrained forms with neutral, trans-seasonal colour palettes.”
She prefers being an entrepreneur
In her interview with Vestd, Donaldson shared that she has “never had a 9 to 5 job” and instead prefers the life of an entrepreneur.
“I've part-time worked in that sort of role however I've only ever lasted around 6 months,” she said. “This is probably part of the reason why I decided to start my own business!”
The model also said that she used to work on her laptop in bed but became “very lethargic.”
“So to keep focused and productivity levels high whilst working remotely, I recommend finding a place in your home and making it a dedicated work zone,” she added.
She previously dated Scott Disick
Prior to her relationship with Sainz, Donaldson briefly dated Scott Disick. The pair made their red carpet debut in April 2022 at the premiere event for Hulu's The Kardashians in Los Angeles.
The couple held hands as they posed for photos, Disick in a black suit and white dress shirt and Donaldson in a one-shoulder green dress with heels.
In June 2022, E! News reported that Disick and Donaldson had broken up a few weeks prior.
She supports Sainz at racing events
Donaldson was seen hugging and kissing Sainz ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Mexico in October 2023.
The following month, before the F1 Grand Prix of Las Vegas, Donaldson and Sainz were spotted strolling together.
In an interview during the event, Sainz jokingly answered a relationship question from fellow F1 driver Charles Leclerc. "Who would I marry in Vegas?" he said, repeating Leclerc. "That's a trick question. My current girlfriend."
